Ring Name: Captain Wrestling
Real Name: Nathan Carter
Pic Base/Character Description: Mike Trout (unmasked.) He’s a throwback to the “masked wrestler” era of the United States so his face is hidden under a somewhat retro wrestling mask that covers his face up. But he has different variants and colors that favor the sports teams of the city that he’s in with the long wrestling pants, boots, and wrist tape to match. He even wears a cape to the ring.
Birthday: December 1, 1991
Height & Weight: 6’4 and 266
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois
Billed From: Chicago, Illinois
Alignment: Classic babyface. Fitting for a guy who thinks he’s a superhero
Signature Moves: Captain’s Cross (Crucifix Powerbomb). Captain’s Combo (Two hook punches to the head, two to the body, followed by a discus elbow). 773 (Ushiguroshi)
Finisher Moves: Trinity (Chimera Plex [German suplex followed into a dragon suplex and finished with an X–Plex]), Captain’s Clutch (Full Nelson)
Gimmick: Superhero. Imagine The Hurricane but a heavyweight
Entrance Theme: “My Hero” by Foo Fighters
Ring Entrance: From the second Captain hits the stage you can tell he’s not an ordinary wrestler. Right before the opening lyrics to his theme plays Captain Wrestling his the stage, posing and flexing to show off his Adonis-like physique before walking down to the ring with haste, touching the hands of the fans by the ramp before giving one final flex, still in his cape for the time being once the fateful lyric hits.
“There Goes My Hero! Watch him as he goooooes!”
Character information
-Nate’s character stems from his fanhood of The Hurricane, John Cena, with a hint of Captain America thrown in from his passion for superheroes. Which he thanks his father for since he owns one of the largest comic book stores in Chicago.
- His mom was a wrestler in the 1980s but she either managed larger and more prominent male wrestlers or wrestled in gimmicky, eye-candy based promotions before retiring when she was pregnant with Nate.
-To maintain the superhero facade Nate’s alter ego is a security guard at XIWA events. Looking like a muscular rent-a-cop. It also helps him scout out future opponents between matches and identify “bad guys.”
